Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that two drivers and two passengers are in serious condition after an auto accident that hurt six Tuesday Morning.

According to the report by the FHP, the crash began as a pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old man from Sarasota Florida with four passengers also from Sarasota, who was a 39-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, a 29-year-old man, and a 28-year-old man was traveling southbound on the inside lane of US 41 just after 8:00 AM.

As the pickup truck with the five occupants traveled south, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 61-year-old woman from Sarasota Florida, was traveling northbound on the inside lane of US 41.

At 8:05:00 AM, the pickup truck crossed the center line and entered the path of the sport utility. As a result, the front of the pickup truck collided with the front of the sport utility.

After the collision, both the pickup truck and the sport utility were rotated before coming to a stop on US 41. All occupants were transported to area hospitals.

Of the occupants traveling in the pickup truck, the driver of the vehicle, the 39-year-old female passenger, and the 29-year-old male passenger were seriously injured in the crash. The other occupants of the pickup truck suffered only minor injuries durring the crash.

The driver of the sport utility, a 61-year-old female from Sarasota, Florida was also seriously injured in crash.

This crash remains under investigation by authorities.
